In students' English/Language Arts class, students are involved in a variety of learning structures including:
Teacher Table: Direct standards-based instruction using mixed literature and non-fiction texts in small group.
Small Group writing instruction to include expository/informative and argumentative writing with necessary revision skills.
Peer-to-peer: Collaborative partner/group work utilizing newly learned reading skills in combination with speaking and listening skills. Includes a mixture of high-interest articles, novel study, and project-based learning.
Technology/independent: Independent practice spiraling all previously taught skills.
