                            Expiration of Clearance

All vendors must renew their clearances every five years, including refringerprinting. Clearance expires 5 years from the date of fingerprinting.

Section 1012.465, Florida Statutes, requires contractual personnel who are permitted access on school grounds when students are present, who have direct contact with students or who have access to or control of school funds to undergo a fingerprint-based criminal history check. “Contractual personnel” includes any vendor, individuals, or entity under contract with a school or the school board.

This screening, including refingerprinting, must be repeated every 5 years.

Prior to the expiration date of an individual’s Jessica Lunsford clearance with the Nassau County School Board, an individual must refingerprint and be cleared in order to continue to work on school grounds in Nassau County. If an individual no longer requires clearance because the person does not need to work on school grounds in Nassau County, the individual does not need to do anything. The person’s name will be removed from the “cleared” list upon the expiration date.

For those who need continued clearance, please do one of the following:

 Make an appointment at www.fieldprintflorida.com (see the section on Fingerprinting) Fieldprint has fingerprinting locations throughout Florida and other states.

 Once fingerprinted, complete and send the Personal Information Form by fax (904) 277-9031.

The cost for vendor/contractor fingerprinting is $82. This fee includes retention of fingerprints on the Florida Shared School Results (FSSR) system for 5 years and the issuance of the uniform statewide identification badge. The fee is paid online by credit card or electronic check during the scheduling of the fingerprinting appointment. There is no additional fee paid to the Nassau County School Board.
