Nassau County School District Recognized as One of Florida’s Academically High-Performing School Districts
State designation reflects strong academics, responsible financial stewardship and a districtwide commitment to excellence
The Nassau County School District has once again earned recognition among Florida’s highest-performing public school systems, receiving the state’s 2025-26 Academically High-Performing School District designation.
Nassau is one of only 18 school districts in Florida to meet the criteria for the designation, which was presented to the State Board of Education on Oct. 14.
The recognition reflects more than strong academic results. To qualify as an academically high-performing school district, districts must demonstrate sustained academic performance while also meeting state requirements related to class size and financial accountability.
