Degrees and Certifications:
Coach Chris Pagel
I am Coach Chris Pagel. I was born in Frankfurt, Germany. I graduated from Fort Knox High School in 1980. I went to college on an ROTC scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University. There I received an Associate of Science in Drafting and Design, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education and Technology, and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education. I retired from the United States Army Reserves after 25 years of service. I have taught in Nassau County for 28 years. I was a high school teacher and varsity coach for 17 years. I have been at the elementary level for 9 years. I have been teaching Physical Education for 2 years. I hold a Florida Continuing teaching certificate in Technology Education, Elementary Education, Social Sciences, Media Specialist, and Physical Education.
I have always been an active person, avid runner, and enjoy all sports. The opportunity to work with students at the K-5 level is what I consider a dream job. It allows me to be outside after being in a classroom for 26 years. On top of that I try to develop an appreciation for being active and fit in our student population. I don’t feel I am developing students into athletes but the motor skills, games, and fitness we practice will give all my students a great foundation to continue being active and pursue sports if they so choose.
If you ever feel the need to speak with me, have questions or issues, please feel free to contact me using any of the methods at the end of my parent letter.
GET OUT THERE, BE ACTIVE!
