Welcome to AVID!
Mission: AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap and prepare students for college and success in global society.
AVID is an elective class for one period a day, where students obtain organizational tips on their binder and study skills, work on critical thinking and asking probing questions, get academic help from peers and college tutors, and participate in enrichment and motivational activities that make college seem attainable. AVID gives you an great opportunity to excel in all of your classes.

Students are to purchase a 3-inch binder. A divider and labeled tab for each course and Advisory are required. All notes, handouts, tests, etc. are to be dated and filed in this binder. The binder will be checked regularly for organization, Cornell notes, and the other AVID essentials.
Are designed to help you with your grades by providing an open window for peer tutoring in different subjects. Different people in your group may have different subjects they’re confused on, so by looking at your tutorial sheet and studying you’re able to study more than one subject at a time.
