Shouldn’t you first find ways to cut the budget, such as district administrators, before asking voters to an increase in taxes?

District-level administrators make up just 1.2% of the total number of full-time positions. Budget cuts would not come close to funding the increase in pay needed to keep experienced teachers and hire paraprofessionals. The board reviews the district budget annually, and outside agencies conduct multiple audits. The School District will create a Citizens' Oversight Committee to provide an additional layer of public fiscal transparency.
