The Florida Department of Education has officially released its 2024–2025 school grades and performance results. Nassau County School District has earned the top spot as the #1 ranked school district in the state of Florida out of all Florida public school districts. This marks the first time in history that Nassau County has achieved this ranking.
In addition to being ranked first overall, Nassau County is proud to remain an A-rated district, with every single school in the district receiving an A grade based on the state’s accountability system. This is also the first time in district history that all schools received an A rating. This outstanding achievement reflects the district's unwavering commitment to student success, high-quality instruction, and community support.
“Being named the #1 school district in Florida is a testament to the hard work of our students, teachers, school leaders, support personnel, and families,” said Dr. Kathy Burns, Superintendent of Nassau County Schools. “We are proud to provide an educational environment where every child can thrive.”
Nassau County also ranked among the top-performing districts in multiple tested areas:
#1 in Algebra (all grades)
#1 in Grades 3 through 8 Mathematics
#1 in 5th Grade Science
#2 in Grades 3 through 10 English Language Arts
#2 in 8th Grade Science
#2 in U.S. History
#3 in Geometry
#5 in Biology
#7 in Civics
