The Schools of Excellence program, established by the Florida Legislature in 2017, recognizes schools that demonstrate sustained academic success. To qualify, schools must rank in the 80th percentile or higher in their grade-level groupings (elementary, middle, high, or combination) for at least two of the past three years, based on the state’s school grade calculation

Dr. Kathy Knight Burns, Superintendent of Schools, stated, “We are incredibly proud of our Schools of Excellence. This designation reflects the hard work happening every day in our classrooms and reinforces Nassau County’s commitment to academic excellence for all students.”
