The Nassau County School District proudly recognized its 2025-2026 Volunteers of the Year at the January 8, 2026, School Board meeting, honoring individuals whose service exemplifies EPIC volunteerism.
This year’s honorees were recognized for their meaningful contributions to students, schools, and district initiatives, reflecting the powerful role volunteers play in supporting academic success and positive school culture across Nassau County.
Volunteer of the Year Liz Hinchliffe, Yulee Middle School, was honored for her dedication to mentoring students, supporting schoolwide initiatives, and assisting with school events.
Student Volunteer of the Year Sawyer Johnson, Callahan Elementary School, was recognized for reading to students, assisting with instruction, and welcoming students each morning, demonstrating leadership and service at a young age.
Senior Volunteer of the Year Karen Seeley, Callahan Intermediate School, was honored for her work with students, support of school events, and commitment to exceptional student education initiatives and practices.
