The Nassau County School District proudly recognizes the incredible generosity of our community in support of the Pack for Purpose: The Scott Hodges Memorial Drive. This annual backpack and school supply drive honors the life and legacy of Scott David Hodges (1971–2025), a lifelong educator, dedicated principal, and, most recently, our beloved Director of Human Resources.
With nearly 30 years of service to the Nassau County School District, Mr. Hodges made an indelible impact on students, families, and staff. His unwavering compassion, leadership, and commitment to education continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thanks to the kindness of local donors, Pack for Purpose collected more than 200 backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students in need across the district. These backpacks were distributed to schools last week, ensuring that students began the school year equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
By supporting this initiative, our community continued Mr. Hodges’ mission of nurturing every child, championing education, and uplifting those around him, one backpack at a time.
We are honored to carry forward his legacy and deeply grateful to all who joined us in this meaningful tribute.
