🎨✨ Art is back and in full swing across Nassau County! Students at Callahan Intermediate School are diving into the world of art with self-portraits inspired by famous artists and styles.

  • 3rd grade explored Pablo Picasso and Cubism, creating colorful, fragmented self-portraits full of creativity and giggles.

  • 4th grade learned about Roy Lichtenstein and Pop Art, sketching themselves in comic book style with Ben-Day dots—earning the nickname “chicken pox portraits.”

  • 5th grade took on the challenge of Op Art agamographs, combining bubble-letter names with self-portraits and zentangle backgrounds.

We are proud to share that art teachers in all elementary schools are funded by the One Mil, helping make these creative opportunities possible. 🎉🖌️
