Today we honor Mr. Beano Roberts, a dedicated volunteer who has been giving his time and heart to Fernandina Beach Middle School for 34 years! Today, the 6th grade building was named the Beano Roberts Veteran Hallway!
PTO President in 1964
Serving on the School Advisory Committee since 2006
U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman, proudly serving aboard the USS Missouri (1951–1952)
Volunteers for 4 hours, 5 days a week
Has helped thousands of students as a math tutor and supported teachers across campus
Mr. Roberts is the definition of commitment and community spirit. His impact on FBMS is immeasurable, and we are so grateful for his service—both to our country and to our school!

We are thrilled to announce that Fernandina Beach Middle School has won $10,000 in the Shark Tank Grant Competition hosted by the Nassau Education Foundation!
This incredible grant will fund our Outdoor Collaboration Lab, a space designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and innovation among our students.
A huge thank you to the Nassau Education Foundation for supporting educational excellence and to everyone who helped make this dream a reality!
