Nassau County School District paraprofessional Kari Vennard has been named one of the Top Five Finalists for the 2026 Florida School-Related Employee of the Year, as announced by the Florida Department of Education.

Vennard, a paraprofessional at Hilliard Elementary School, was previously named the Nassau County School District School-Related Employee of the Year, earning her nomination for the state honor, and was selected by her peers to represent her school. She is widely recognized for her humility, dedication, and the kindness, compassion, and creativity she brings to her work with students each day.

The Florida School-Related Employee of the Year program recognizes outstanding education support personnel for their contributions to their schools and district communities.

The 2026 state winner will be announced at a later date.
