Greetings,

House Bill 259, signed by Governor DeSantis on June 6, 2025, and effective July 1, 2025, designates August 21 of each year as ā€œFentanyl Awareness and Education Day.ā€ This day is intended to increase awareness of the dangers of fentanyl and its potentially deadly consequences.

We recognize that this is a sensitive topic. However, education and awareness are key in helping our students stay informed and safe. Our school district is committed to providing age-appropriate information to ensure students understand the risks associated with fentanyl and other dangerous substances.

For additional resources to help you continue this important conversation at home, you can log on to our Middle School’s Student Services page: Fentanyl Awareness - Parent Tool Kit
It contains helpful information for parents and guardians to further educate and support their children.

If you have any questions or concerns about the content being shared, or if you wish to opt your child out of participating in related activities, please contact the school administration.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping our students safe and informed.
