The Nassau County School District is proud to announce that six schools have been recognized as Floridaās MTSS Recognized Schools ā Improvement Award recipients for the 2024ā2025 school year.
The following schools earned the award:
Bryceville Elementary School
Callahan Elementary School
Callahan Intermediate School
Southside Elementary School
Wildlight Elementary School
Yulee Primary School
This prestigious honor recognizes schools that demonstrate measurable progress in their Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to improve student achievement.
To qualify for the Improvement Award, schools must meet one of the following criteria:
Achieve a minimum of 10% improvement in the identified focus area (ELA or Math) learning gains from the previous year; or
Ensure that at least 60% of the lowest-performing 25% of students in the identified focus area demonstrate learning gains.
These schools have demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement by strengthening systems of support, promoting equity, and creating opportunities for all students to achieve academic success.
The Florida Department of Educationās Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Project (PS/RtI) oversees the MTSS Recognized Schools program, which highlights schools across the state that are leading the way in implementing effective academic supports.
