Be in school. Be on time. All day. Every day.
Missing just 2 days each month can add up to about 10% of the school year. Help your child make every school day count by building strong attendance habits all year long.

When students are in class, on time and ready to learn, they have more opportunities to build skills, connect with teachers and classmates, and stay on track for success.

🎶 Arts in Education Week Day 6 continues with our Kindergarten Hornets! 🦆🥚

Kindergarten students are learning that music is all about listening, moving, and making sounds! Using egg shakers, students practice showing sleeping, rest, and ready positions before shaking along to the rhythm of “Quack.” They’re also strengthening their listening skills by identifying and responding to the different duck sounds they hear. 🎵

These playful, hands-on experiences help our youngest musicians build rhythm, listening skills, self-control, and confidence while having fun with music! 💚💛

🎨🌱 Art is living, moving, and hands-on at Yulee Primary for Art in Education Day 5! 🐝💚💛

Our Hornets are discovering that art isn’t limited to paper and paint—it can be created, explored, grown, and experienced! From working with their hands in the garden to experimenting with color and materials in the art room, students are learning to see creativity all around them.

Thanks to millage funding, our students have opportunities to learn through experiences that encourage them to create, move, explore, and get their hands a little dirty! 🌿🖌️

🎶 Day 4 of Arts in Education Week! 🐝💚💛

Our 1st Grade Hornets are making music while building their steady beat and melodic direction skills! 🎵 After practicing the “Tick Tock” steady beat on woodblocks last week, students moved to the glockenspiel to bring the mouse from the rhyme to life!

Students learned how to glide their mallets from low to high to make the sound of the mouse running up the clock and high to low as it runs down. What a fun, hands-on way to explore pitch, rhythm, and musical movement!

Our Kindergarten Hornets are learning about different types of lines by tracing and creating their own with paint sticks! From straight and curvy to wavy and zigzag, our little artists are discovering how lines can be used to create art. 💚💛

We’re grateful that millage funding helps provide art experiences like these for our students, giving them opportunities to create, explore, and learn through hands-on activities. 🐝🎨
