Students from Hilliard Elementary School’s 5th Grade Safety Patrol recently visited Washington, D.C., where they explored some of the nation’s most historic landmarks. Standing in front of the United States Capitol, these student leaders had the opportunity to learn about the foundations of American government and reflect on the responsibilities of citizenship.
During their visit, students also explored sites such as the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Arlington National Cemetery, gaining a deeper understanding of the people and events that have shaped our nation. Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life while inspiring civic pride and leadership.
