Our Little Warriors are strengthening their reading skills as they explore story elements and plot structure while retelling “Great Girls Contest”!

Students are learning how the different parts of a story work together, including characters, setting, problem, key events, solution, and theme.

By identifying these elements and putting events in the correct order, students are building their comprehension skills and learning to retell stories with confidence! We are so proud of our Little Warriors as they grow into thoughtful readers and storytellers! ❤️💛📖

Keep reading, keep learning, and keep growing, Little Warriors! 🥰

No. This is a completely standalone vote. Whether other local county referendums, state constitutional amendments, or general property tax measures pass or fail on election day has zero impact on this school millage. Your vote on this initiative is strictly an independent decision about whether to continue existing local funding for Nassau County District Schools' safety, competitive employee compensation, the arts, and athletics. It is completely separate from any other item on your ballot.

YES. Voter-approved operating millages are used by school districts throughout Florida. Nearby St. Johns, Duval, and Clay Counties all have additional operating millages to supplement state funding to support their schools.

🎃🍂 Kindergarten Pumpkin Exploration! 🍂🎃

Mrs. Connors and Mrs. Goetz created a pumpkin-tastic time for their kindergarten students to learn all about pumpkins! 🧡

They created a life-size pumpkin life cycle to show how a tiny seed grows into a pumpkin. 🌱➡️🎃 Then, they got hands-on with a real pumpkin and used their five senses to explore it—looking, touching, smelling, listening, and even tasting! 👀👃👂✋👅

Our little scientists carefully examined the inside of the pumpkin and labeled all of its parts, including the stem, skin, flesh, and seeds. 🔍🎃

After their hands-on exploration, students put their learning into words by writing about pumpkins in their journals! ✏️📓 They practiced using what they observed to share their ideas and learning through writing.

We love seeing our Little Warriors explore, discover, and make connections across subjects! ❤️💛

Nassau County students deserve a world-class education, and that starts with having exceptional teachers in every classroom and dedicated staff supporting them every day. To maintain high academic standards, the School District must remain competitive with surrounding school districts, many of which have access to additional locally approved funding. Referendum dollars provide critical local funding to help Nassau County attract and retain high-quality employees across the District, provide competitive compensation, and ensure our schools have the teachers and staff needed to support student success.
