There will be a Boys Basketball Open Gym and Interest Meeting on Thursday, October 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

During the meeting, students will receive information about upcoming tryout dates and important expectations for the season.

✅ A completed athletic packet must be on file in order to try out for basketball. Students planning to participate should make sure all required paperwork is submitted as soon as possible.

Callahan Middle School Band students had the privilege of welcoming Mara Rose-Bruce, retired band director from Fleming Island High School, as a guest speaker. Ms. Rose-Bruce shared valuable experiences, insights, and encouragement with students about the impact of music education and the opportunities that the performing arts can provide.

Arts in Education Week is a time to recognize the important role that music, visual arts, theater, dance, and other creative disciplines play in helping students develop confidence, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. We are grateful for community members and arts educators who continue to inspire the next generation of musicians and artists.
