Bravo to Our Talented Young Musicians!
What an incredible night at the Fall Band Concert! From the first note to the final bow, our students wowed us with their dedication, teamwork, and musical growth. Their energy and heart lit up the stage! To top off the evening, we had a fantastic performance by FBHS' Mighty Marching Pirates, led by Mr. Odom.

Huge thanks to our amazing band director Mr. Jernigan and his intern Ms. Mitrione for leading with passion and patience, and to the families and staff who support these young performers every step of the way. The future of music is bright!

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Crawford

One pager about our principal, Dr. Anna Crawford.
The 7th grade ELA department hosted a grade level in-house field trip with guest speaker's from the Gullah Geechee nation. Ms. Waas submitted a grant to the Nassau Education Foundation titled "Exploring Languages and Cultures," which they graciously awarded. Glenda Simmons-Jenkins and Anastatia Ketchen engaged our students with their language, stories, dance and culture. Students participated in several small workshops that included: a walk to the Greenway with speakers from the St. John's River Water Keepers, crafts with recyclable materials, creating an ABC book with Gullah words, and a snack of cheese grits and flavored popcorn. A wonderful, culturally rich day was had by all.
