Dear Yulee Middle School Students and Families,

Welcome back, Hornets!

Monday, August 10th marks the first day of school, and I could not be more excited to begin another incredible year together at Yulee Middle School. Our faculty and staff have spent the past week planning, preparing, collaborating, and ensuring everything is in place for a successful start. It was also great to see so many students and families attend our Meet and Greet. The excitement and positive energy across campus remind us why YMS is such a special place.

As we get ready for Monday morning, I encourage all students to get a good night's sleep on Sunday and come to school ready to learn, grow, and make the most of every opportunity. Starting the year rested and prepared is one of the first steps toward a successful school year.

Families, please remember that traffic is often heavier during the first few days of school. We appreciate your patience as everyone adjusts to the morning and afternoon routines. Please allow a little extra travel time and help us keep our arrival and dismissal procedures safe and efficient for all students.

As we begin this new year, we have much to celebrate. Thanks to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the tremendous support of our families, Yulee Middle School was ranked the number one secondary school in our district last year. This accomplishment is a reflection of the culture of excellence that exists throughout our school community.

While we are proud of what we achieved, we know our best days are still ahead. This year, we move forward Powered by Purpose. Our purpose is clear: to help every student learn, grow, succeed, and reach their full potential. Being Powered by Purpose means approaching each day with determination, serving others with kindness, striving for excellence, and never losing sight of the goals we have set for ourselves and our school.

I truly believe this will be an amazing year filled with new opportunities, meaningful relationships, academic success, and unforgettable memories. Together, we will continue building on our accomplishments and demonstrating what it means to be a Hornet.

YMS Cellphone Policy

As a reminder Students may not use wireless communication devices during the school day. Phones are to be off and in backpacks.

School Hours

Students are allowed to enter campus at 8:30 AM and dismissal is at 3:45 PM M,T,Th,F and 2:45 PM on Wednesday.

Bus Information

Make sure your student is aware of their bus number for a smooth dismissal.
