As we celebrate Arts Week, we're shining a spotlight on our incredible Hornet Singers program!
A special thank you to Arts Alive for partnering with Ms. Brooks and Yulee Elementary's music program to provide students with this enriching after-school chorus experience. Through Hornet Singers, students strengthen their vocal skills while developing confidence, stage presence, teamwork, musicianship, and performance techniques.
Programs like Hornet Singers highlight the important role the arts play in helping students grow creatively, academically, and socially. We are proud to offer opportunities that allow our students to discover their voices, express themselves, and share their talents with others.

Our families enjoyed a creative and engaging look at the arts programs that inspire our students every day! During Open House, Ms. Brooks brought a touch of wonder to the music room dressed as Alice in Wonderland, while Ms. Barnes added some sweet creativity as Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka.
Guests explored student artwork, viewed music class showcases, and learned how students develop creativity, self-expression, collaboration, and confidence through the visual and performing arts. From colorful art displays to musical performances and classroom projects, families experienced firsthand the amazing work our students create throughout the school year.

🎨 Arts Week Spotlight! Students explored creativity with Ms. Barnes as they learned a variety of oil pastel techniques, including blending, layering, and color mixing. Through hands-on practice, students created vibrant popsicle and ice cream-themed artwork that is now proudly displayed as part of our "Your Millage at Work" showcase. 🎶 As we celebrate Arts in Education Week, we want to take a minute to spotlight the Yulee Elementary music program.
Music class is about so much more than singing songs! In our music program, students build rhythm, coordination, collaboration, listening skills, and musical literacy through engaging hands-on experiences like cup games and rhythm activities. These lessons help students connect movement, music, and learning while strengthening focus and creativity.
From reading rhythms to performing as a team, our music program provides opportunities for every child to explore, create, and grow as a musician. Thank you to Ms. Brooks for creating interactive learning experiences that make music come alive for our students every day! 🎵🎤
