Today, our students had the opportunity to get hands-on with technology during their UF/NSA AI Curriculum Lab – Sensor Exploration Stations!
Students explored how sensors “see” and collect information from the world around us using five different sensors: motion, weather, heart rate, light, and time-of-flight. 🌦️💡❤️
Working with AHA! boards, students tested sensors, observed the data they collected, and talked about how technology can take information from the world and turn it into something we can understand and use.
We love seeing our students curious, engaged, and learning by doing! Experiences like these give our students meaningful opportunities to explore technology, ask questions, and connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them. 💚🐝

There was something for EVERYONE at Club Rush! 🎉
More than 25 clubs and organizations filled our lunches Friday, giving students the opportunity to explore all the ways they can get connected, get involved, and find their place at YHS!
Throughout all three lunches, students were able to meet club members and sponsors, ask questions, learn about different opportunities, and sign up for clubs that sparked their interest.
From leadership and service to academics, special interests, and everything in between—our Hornets have so many ways to make their high school experience their own! 🐝
