We are excited to introduce our very first Garden Club at SES! 🌱🌼 With the help of Ms. LaChapelle, our 2nd graders are digging in and learning all about gardening while helping keep our campus beautiful. From planting to caring for our green spaces, they are growing skills that will last a lifetime! We can’t wait to watch both our garden—and our students—continue to bloom! 🌿💚

Kindergarten had some very special visitors this week! 🚓🚒🚑 We welcomed community helpers from the Fernandina Beach Police Department, Fire Department, and EMTs. Our students loved learning about the important jobs they do, exploring emergency vehicles, and even getting a chance to step inside an ambulance! Thank you to our local heroes for taking the time to inspire and teach our students—we appreciate all you do for our community! 💙

In Ms. Carlton's class this week, Saxon stories were as sweet as pie! 🥧📊 Students had the chance to taste three different kinds of pie, vote for their favorite, and then graph the results. From there, they dove into analyzing the data and answering questions—bringing math to life in a hands-on (and delicious!) way. We love finding fun, meaningful ways to connect reading and math for our learners! 💛📚➕
