At Southside Elementary, our students are discovering that music is a language all its own! 🎵 Our Little Pirates not only sing and enjoy familiar songs, but they also learn how to read music, understand musical concepts, and play a variety of instruments. 🥁🎹🎸
Thanks to our millage funds, we have been able to purchase new instruments and update our collection, giving even more students the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow as young musicians. These resources are helping us expand the ways our students experience and create music each week!

🎨 Art at SES is MORE than just drawing! 🖌️✨
At Southside Elementary, we believe art is about creativity, exploration, problem-solving, and giving students the freedom to create! Our Little Pirates get to explore their creativity throughout the entire art room with a variety of Creation Stations designed to spark imagination and encourage hands-on learning. 🏴☠️🎨
Students may create with watercolors, playdough, Magna-Tiles, LEGOs, cutting and pasting, building materials, and so much more! Each station offers a new way for students to experiment, design, build, and bring their ideas to life.
And the creativity doesn't stop there! 🌟 Stations rotate throughout the year, introducing students to new materials, new challenges, and new opportunities to create.

💙⚾ Grandparents Night In at SES! ⚾💙
What a special night at Southside Elementary School! We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the grandparents and students who joined us for our Grandparents Night In! 🥰
We loved having the opportunity to showcase our Fine Arts Program and celebrate the incredible things our students experience in Music and Art each week at SES. 🎨🎶 And, thanks to our Millage Funds at work, our students continue to have opportunities to learn, create, perform, and grow through the arts!
