🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Eck! 🌟

Today we’re excited to highlight one of our incredible 6th grade math teachers here at YMS, Mrs. Eck!

With 21 years of experience in education, 16 years teaching, she brings expertise, patience, and a truly caring spirit to her classroom each day.

A fun fact about Mrs. Eck: she’s a proud member of MENSA, proof that our students are learning from one truly brilliant mind! 🤓💛

When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with her grandchildren or relaxing at the beach. Her favorite hobbies include sewing, and she loves a good chocolate bar as a treat!

We are so grateful to have Mrs. Eck as part of our YMS team. Thank you for everything you do for our students and school community!💛🐝

🌟 Celebrating Our Incredible Cafeteria Team! 🌟

As the these chilly temperatures fade away (hopefully soon!) our hearts are warmed every single day by the AMAZING dedication of our cafeteria kitchen crew. ❤️

They’ve taken it upon themselves to bring comfort and joy to our students this winter with classic, cozy favorites like grilled cheese with tomato soup, chili with cornbread, and so many other delicious meals that keep our kids warm, smiling, and ready to learn.

This team always goes above and beyond to make sure that every student has a full belly and a great start to their day. Their hard work, creativity, and care never go unnoticed, and our school is better because of them. :)

🌟 Science Spotlight! 🌟

Our students have been outdoing themselves in science this week with their plant and animal cell projects, and we couldn’t be more proud!

From detailed 3D models that look like they came straight out of a museum exhibit, to eye‑catching posters bursting with color and creativity, our classrooms have been transformed into miniature biology labs. Some students even went above and beyond by making their entire cell edible… which, as you can imagine, earned them instant celebrity status at lunchtime 🍪😂

Huge shout‑out to our amazing science teachers for guiding them, and to the families who supported the creativity happening at home. .🐝💛
Keep shining, scholars!🌱🧬✨
