Mrs. Shelly Domingo

Angela "Shelly" Domingo is excited to return to Nassau County, proudly accepting the position of Assistant Principal at Emma Love Hardee Elementary.  She has served in various instructional and leadership roles for 24 years.  She is described as a passionate and energetic person who isn't afraid to look silly while creating a fun and enriching learning environment.  Mrs. Domingo graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Elementary Education.   She began her teaching career in Alachua County.  In 2006, Shelly received the Project Inspire Grant at the University of Florida, earning her Master of Education with certification in Special Education and Reading.  in 2008, she relocated to Nassau County and worked in various Special Education and leadership positions at Yulee Primary.  Shelly was also the ESE coordinator for Nassau's extended school year for five years.  While serving in these leadership positions, she felt a calling for administration.  In 2017, she earned her Educational Leadership certification at the University of North Florida and has served as an Assistant Principal (4 years) and Principal (1 year) in Duval County for the past five years.  In these positions, she supported improving student achievement, developing targeted interventions, and facilitating professional development for low-performing schools.  Collaboration with the leadership team, instructional staff, and families led to both schools improving a letter grade.

Mrs. Domingo calls Nassau County home and is excited to work within her community.  Her hardest transition will be to say "Go Pirates" after years of supporting her children in Yulee athetics.  She looks forward to passionately serving Emma Love's community, families, students, and staff.  As the Assistant Principal of Emma Love, she strives to be a servant leader, providing encouragement and support to help others meet their full potential- Go Pirates!
