Media Specialist: Krista Hodges
E.L.H. offers many rewards for hard-working Pirates in the Accelerated Reader Program. We have The Bookaneer Bash, an event in January and May to reward our students' progress in the A.R. Program each semester. Pirates can earn an invitation to this event and participate in activities including games, music and dancing for achieving their A.R. goals both quarters of the semester! Top earners in the A.R. Program also receive an invitation to our quarterly Principal's Luncheons on campus. These students will be invited to a special luncheon with principal, Rebecca Smith and assistant principal, Shelly Domingo. Don't forget about the S.S.Y.R.A. Challenge and Sunshine Tags! Students are encouraged to read at least 10 books on the S.S.Y.R.A. list to receive an invitation to the end of year Sunshine Party. For more information about this, read the Back to School Media Center Newsletter.
Parents, remember, you can monitor your students' progress in Accelerated Reader by getting connected through Home Connect by visiting https://hosted270.renlearn.com/707339/HomeConnect/. Use your child's student ID for the username and date of birth ( ex. 10/20/2003 would look like 10202003) for the password to login.
