As an educator for many years, Mrs. Ray has spent the majority of her career in Nassau County teaching at both Callahan Intermediate School and Yulee Elementary, as well as 3 years in Waycross, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from San Diego State University, a Master's in Education from Troy University, and a Master's in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. In addition to holding numerous leadership roles throughout her career, she was named Wacona Elementary School's Teacher of the Year and the Ware County Teacher of the Year in 2006.

Mrs. Ray is married to her wonderful husband, James, and together they have two handsome boys, Ethan and Caleb.
