Dr. Michelle Thompson

Hello Mighty Warriors! I am Dr. Michelle Thompson, and I am thrilled to be your assistant principal. I knew at a very young age that my dream was to work in education. I graduated from Fernandina Beach High School. Then, I pursued my dreams of becoming a teacher at the University of North Florida, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and with an ESOL endorsement. Following my graduation, I worked at Faith Christian Academy for five years, teaching first and second grade. In 2013, I began working for the Nassau County School District, where I taught third grade at Emma Love Hardee and fourth grade at Wildlight Elementary. I continued to earn a master’s degree in educational leadership and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern University.

My educational philosophy is based on the quote, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders”. I believe that ALL students are full of potential, they just need the right person to help them see that. I value working collaboratively with teachers near and far to provide quality instruction. I am so very excited and honored to be the Assistant Principal of Callahan Intermediate School.

Go, Mighty Warriors!
