Hello Little Pirate families! My name is Lindsay Hays and I am thrilled to be serving as the Assistant Principal of Southside Elementary School. 

I am originally from Ontario, Canada and have worked in education for 13 years. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Florida State University and began my career as a middle school reading teacher while also serving as a Reading Coach and state Reading Endorsement instructor. I then taught first grade for six years at Southside Elementary School, which inspired me to earn my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. I had the pleasure of serving as the Assistant Principal of Callahan Middle School for two years and am now proudly returning to the Southside family!

I have a passion for education and I am honored to be working with such a wonderful community. My goal is to motivate and support all of our Little Pirates as they grow into "lifelong learners and responsible citizens."
