Dr. Laura LaRose

     Dr. LaRose is very excited to serve the Callahan community as the Dean of Students for the 2024-2025 school year. Dr. LaRose began her career in 2000 as an ESE teacher serving in the Florida public school system. After marrying her husband, she followed his military career around the country, as a proud military spouse. She, her husband, and their three children had the privilege of living and learning in various states, but her family would all agree Kodiak, Alaska was one of their favorite Coast Guard adventures.
    Dr. LaRose received a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Central Florida in 2000 and graduated with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Keiser University in 2020. Recently, she earned her PhD in Educational Leadership from Keiser University.
In 2020, Dr. LaRose joined the Nassau County School District as an ESE Support Facilitator at Yulee Middle School, where she also held the role of School Advisory Council Chair and Volunteer Coordinator. She also lead the ESE Department as Department Chair and worked closely with teachers, students, and families as the MTSS coordinator to ensure all students were provided a high-quality education.
   Dr. LaRose is eager to work with the students, families, teachers, administration, and the community at Callahan Middle School. She aims to foster a positive culture that will help build resiliency, instill confidence, and develop students into lifelong learners who will become productive citizens of Nassau County.
