Mrs. Lori Amos

Mrs. Lori Amos just completed her 20th year in education!  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Florida State University in 2000.  She began her career in Duval County, completing an internship at Matthew Gilbert Middle School and then teaching language arts at Fort Caroline Middle School for four years. 

In 2004 she came to Nassau County where she taught 12th grade English at Fernandina Beach High School.  When Yulee High School opened in 2006, she accepted a position there, and over twelve years taught English and Intensive Reading at all grade levels, in addition to sponsoring the Senior Class and Graduation. 

Mrs. Amos completed her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Florida State University in 2015.  In 2018 she transitioned into school administration, serving as the Assistant Principal at Callahan Middle School.

Mrs. Amos is proud to return to the Yulee community, where she has raised her family for the last twenty years, and to serve the students and families at YMS!
