Mr. Crawford

John Crawford is a 1989 graduate of Fernandina Beach High School. After graduation, he went in the United States Air Force and served as a security police officer from 1990-94. Following his military career, Mr. Crawford, went to the University of North Florida, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications/Journalism. After college, he was a reporter for the Nassau County Record from 1999-2001, and for the Fernandina Beach News-Leader from 2002-2003. Mr. Crawford taught English/Language Arts and journalism, while also coaching football and track at Hilliard Middle-Senior High School from 2003 to 2014. After earning a Master's Degree in educational leadership in 2014, he served as dean of students at HMSHS and Assistant Principal at Callahan Middle School before returning to HMSHS as Assistant Principal.
