Third grade is an exciting transitional year. Students will begin learning multiplication, division, and fractions. They will work on improving their writing skills while also learning cursive. Students will read a variety of texts to learn about various topics. Students will use hands-on manipulatives to practice skills. They will also be involved in group projects to help them develop social as well as educational skills. In 3rd grade, students must pass the FAST assessment to be promoted to 4th grade.  Parent/teacher communication is important to ensure the success of each child. Each student will receive a weekly newsletter that contains current homework, learning objectives, and upcoming daily events. Please support your student on this new adventure.
