Fifth Grade

  • Fifth grade is a challenging, but exciting year. It is a year to get ready for big changes, to grow and become more independent, to set in stone a foundation that will lead to a successful future. To be successful, students need to understand that parents, teachers, and they, themselves, are responsible for certain tasks. Students are to try their best, focus during instruction, and complete their work. Teachers will provide numerous opportunities to learn material utilizing a variety of teaching methods. Parents still play a vital role. Communication is the key!

"Education isn't the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." ~ William Butler Yeats
