Ms. Sherida Jones

Sherida Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Sociology from Jacksonville University. She earned a Master of Education in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Ms. Jones began her teaching career in Duval County Public Schools as a middle school English Language Arts instructor. While teaching in Duval County, she served in several leadership roles such as AVID Site Coordinator, Shared Decision-Making Committee Chair, and a Certified Mentor Teacher. Her passion for teaching and mentoring students in the twenty-first century is reflective of her active participation in professional collaboration at both the middle and high school levels.

In 2017, Ms. Jones transitioned to Nassau County School District, teaching English and Reading at West Nassau High School. She immediately fell in love with the sense of community values, pride, and tradition in Callahan. Ms. Jones has also served as the ninth and tenth grade Class Sponsor, Assistant Wrestling Coach, VyStar Academy of Business and Finance – Teacher Manager Intern, and English Department Chair. Ms. Jones is honored and excited to serve the students, faculty, staff, and community of West Nassau as Assistant Principal. She is proud to be a part of Nassau County’s commitment to the success of every student.
