Mr. Dale Braddock
Alumni
Mr. Braddock graduated from Callahan High School in 1968. He was the class president and football co-captain. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and master’s degree from UNF. He served for thirty-three years in Nassau County. He has been a teacher, coach, athletic director, media specialist, assistant principal, principal, and director of secondary education. Mr. Braddock also served the community as a pop warner and little league coach. Here at West Nassau, he coached softball, where he led the 1991 team to a slow pitch state championship. He also served in the Air National Guard from 1969-1975

Dr. Tyrone Blue
Alumni
Dr. Tyrone Blue is a 1984 graduate of West Nassau High School. He was a 4 sport athlete and an all-state football player. He was named the Nassau County MVP in both football and baseball. He was named to the all-county team in football, baseball, and basketball. Dr. Blue signed a football scholarship to play at FAMU. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1989, his master’s degree in 1994, and doctoral degree in 2006. He has served as an educator in both Nassau and Duval County for over 30 years. He has been a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, and now a Principal. He earned the Distinguished Principal Award in 2013, and currently serves as the principal of Grand Park Career Center in Duval County. Dr. Blue has also served as a college adjunct professor. He has twice been named the Professor of the Year. He is the president of the Concerned Citizens of Nassau County, Board member of the Nassau County Planning and Zoning Board, and the Pastor of The First Missionary Baptist Church of Gainesville.

Mr. Freddie Johnson Jr.
Faculty
The late Mr. Freddie Johnson served as an educator for 34 years. He was the dean of students for 25 years at West Nassau. He graduated from Florida Memorial in 1966 and received his master’s degree in 1979. He led the girl’s basketball team to 12 consecutive district titles from 1975-1987. He also had a final four finish in 1982 and received Coach of the Year honors. Mr. Johnson was a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Yulee for 25 years, a member of the masonic lodge; ARC board, a take stock in children mentor, and advisory board for Habitat.

Dr. Drew Sauls
Alumni
Dr. Drew Sauls is a 1980 graduate of West Nassau High School. He lettered for three years in football, basketball, and baseball. He also lettered for two years as a member of the track team. He received a football scholarship to Troy University and then transferred and finished his career at Valdosta State University. Dr. Sauls has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, a Specialist Degree and his doctoral degree in Administration and Supervision. He also served as the head football coach at West Nassau. During his thirty-five plus years in education, he has served as an assistant principal, principal of Charlton County High School, principal of St. George Elementary, and Superintendent of Brantley County Schools. Collectively, Dr. Sauls, has spent twenty-eight years in administration.

Mr. Charlie Wilkie
Alumni
Mr. Charlie Wilkie is a 1977 graduate of West Nassau High School and was a four sport letterman in football, baseball, track and golf. He set a high school record in weightlifting with a 420 pound bench press while weighing only 180 pounds. After high school, he pursued his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer first with the Nassau County Sheriff's office then with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office from which he retired in 2017. In his 30 plus year career, he was an academy staff instructor, a 20 year member of the Honor Guard and served for 18+ years in the K-9 Unit.
He is credited with the apprehension of hundreds of the most dangerous suspects, some with an exchange of gunfire and others with his K-9 partners. He has located missing and murdered children and saved numerous lives. He is credited with finding Cherish Periwinkle’s body as well as that of Lonzie Barton.
He is a nationally recognized Law Enforcement expert. He is frequently interviewed live on local stations as well as Fox and CNN news channels for his insight on resolving high profile investigations.
