Doesn’t the State of Florida send school districts enough money to cover their needs?
Actually, the state only provides about 35% of the revenue needed to run local schools. Approximately 65% of school funding comes from local property taxes and other sources. If Nassau County is going to stop teachers from leaving for better-paying districts and professions, it will be up to the community to provide the additional funding.
