Department Overview

  • Welcome to Nassau County School District's Student Services and Assessments page. Our goal is to provide every student and family with the resources to be successful in all assessments. Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12, from a traditional campus, virtual, or school-choice assessments are a part of the educational journey.

    Please contact me with any questions regarding your student's assessments, progress monitoring, or graduation requirements. I am here to support each family, teacher, and student of Nassau County. I am available to assist you and your students throughout their school career and beyond.

    22-23 Statewide Assessment Schedule

    As we enter the 22-23 academic year, families and students need to be aware of the upcoming Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Progress Monitoring assessment for students in grades K-10. Please review the link below for parent and student resources and information.

    FAST Information - Resources

    FAST will be administered three times during the school year in the area of Reading and Math. VPK- 2 students will complete F.A.S.T through the Renaissance Place portal Renaissance - Family Resources.  While students in grades 3-10 will work in the Cambium (CAI) portal FAST 3-10 Families .

     FAST Progress Monitoring Dates

    PM 1:   Aug. 10 - Sept. 30 (Grades VPK-2)

                Aug. 15 - Sept. 30 (Grades 3-10)   EXTENDED to Oct. 7

    PM 2:  Dec. 5 - Jan. 27    (VPK-10)

    PM 3:  May 1 - June 2     (VPK-10)

    The Florida Standards Assessments (FSA Grade 10 ELA), End of Course (EOC) exam dates and requirements for graduation are important to mark on your home calendar. Information regarding SAT School Day opportunities is also listed. 

    Fall 2022 FSA Grade 10 ELA/EOC Retakes

    Sept. 12 - 30, 2022 (Extended to Oct. 7)

    • FSA Grade 10 ELA:
      • Grade 11, 12, 30 ONLY
      • Must take Day 1 of Writing and Day 2 & 3 of Reading
    • Algebra 1/Geometry/ Biology/US History:
      • Available for students that did not pass or participate during the Spring 2022 administration

       

     2022-2023 SAT School Day Information

       SAT School Day - Oct. 12, 2022 

      PSAT 8/9 - Middle and High Schools  (Grade 8 students/parents will need to create a College Board Acct.)

      PSAT/NMSQT - Grades 10 & 11  (this is a requirement for Bright Futures; may also serve as a concordant score) 

       (Registered* Home Education, FLVS, and Nassau Virtual students will participate at the District Office) 

       *Registration deadline Thur. Sept. 8, 2022
