The Elementary Gifted classes of Bryceville Elementary, Callahan Intermediate, Hilliard Elementary, and Wildlight Elementary recently took part in an art contest sponsored by the West Nassau Historical Society. During the month of October, students created various art projects while in gifted class. The art was submitted and displayed at the Callahan Depot during the art show at the Hobo Festival on November 5, 2021. All students who participated were given an art kit to encourage them to keep creating. Students enjoyed the opportunity to be creative and were thrilled to receive their art kits.
This semester the Elementary Gifted students of Nassau County have been studying Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigating. During this exciting study, students have been learning about various careers in this field, crime scene protocol, collecting and analyzing evidence, completing science experiments, and using critical thinking skills to solve mysteries and mock crime scenes.
