How to Become A Volunteer

Ask yourself:

What age group do you prefer to work with?

• Elementary School
• Middle School
• High School

Location of where you would like to work?

After deciding, contact the school of your choice. 

Express your interest in volunteering

Each school has a volunteer coordinator who can assist you.  However, school volunteer coordinators vary from school to school.  Some are teachers, guidance counselors, assistant principals, or parent volunteers.  Finding out this information may save you time by allowing you to register and express your interests and concerns at one time.

Complete a volunteer application

This application includes a background check.  Coordinate your volunteer service with the school's volunteer coordinator.  Volunteers need to complete a new volunteer application on an annual basis.
